I landed a job in Dubai with an American company about a year out of college. I had the best time of my life and got to travel all over the world. I worked in a small south pacific island for a year with free room and board, got paid very little, but had time-off and ability to see a lot of the world I haven't prior. Alternatively, like you said, save your $ and quit your job. When you're young it's easy to do. I did that for a 2 month'er to Thailand in 2002...
