My Three Favorite Economic / Financial Blogs

23 October 2009 No Comment

I’ve had many people ask me what blogs do I read?  Well, I read a lot of different blogs and websites, but there are a few that I check out almost every day.  I’m going to detail those blogs here.

Zero Hedge

Zero Hedge is a great website that provides excellent economic news, views on the stock markets and some good political commentary (mostly economic related).  One of my favorite aspects of this blog are the intelligent (and sometimes witty) comments that each article usually has.

Fund My Mutual Fund

This blog is written by an individual named Mark who has the goal of opening his own mutual fund.  He uses his blog to detail his views and trades while attempting to round up pledges for the eventual launch of his own fund.  He handily beats the market each year through some excellent trading.  Mark is also very in tune with economic news and provides plenty of opinion.  If you’re looking to improve your trading, this is a great place to go.

Mish’s Global Economic Trend Analysis

This is a website that is very popular that provides excellent economic news.  While there isn’t a ton of information here on individual companies or trading strategies, there is plenty of global economic news and opinion.  It’s definitely worth a visit.

The one thing you will find in common through these websites or blogs for the most part is that all of them do not buy into the current economic strategy of our government.  Each website is pretty critical of the inflationary prosperity that seems to be cheered by CNBC and other mainstream outlets.   These blogs back up their opinions with some great information.
