Great article on Seeking Alpha about doing the opposite of Money Magazine tells you to do – especially when it comes to gold (Seeking Alpha)

Russia diversifying into Canadian dollars (Financial Times)

Today’s jobless numbers unexpectedly increased (Yahoo!)

China’s latest killer GDP number (Bloomberg) – While I do believe China is still humming, I don’t put that much credibility into their numbers.  Believe what you want when it comes to Chinese government numbers.

I like to monitor the transition from traditional media to the web and other 21st century means – check out this article on Conde Nast’s distributing magazines through iTunes – very interesting stuff and probably the start of a trend. (All Things Digital)

A little shocked you didn't include anything about the Supreme Court decision for unlimited corporate campaigning. I think this is a game changer for the country with huge ramifications on Oil and Gas companies.

    Article from NYTimes – http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/22/us/politics/22d…

Yeah, definitely left that out unintentionally.. I have mixed feelings on the issue. I think that the McCain / Feingold legislation was sort of unconstitutional on the free speech issue, but I hate that our political system is driven by campaign donations and special interests. Not sure what the best solution is here. Maybe ban all contributions? :)
