As a young investor, I want to find those companies that are going to deliver outsized returns for years and years.  Putting money into those companies can result in some serious net worth gain down the road.  Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT) is one of those companies I believe.  As I’ve mentioned before, I have WMT in one of my DRIP plans where I continually allocate funds into the stock and reinvest the dividends.

The recent news for WMT is that the South Africa acquisition has gone through which will accelerate the penetration of this company into the African market.  What many investors don’t realize is that WMT is an excellent play on emerging markets with serious growth happening in many parts around the world.  WMT is a sneaky emerging markets play with an annually increasing dividend.  This is an ideal investment for a multi-year perspective.
