End Of The Week Random Thoughts
Well, it’s been a crazy week. Too little sleep due to working hard all day and night then staying up and watching the olympics. I’ve had an incredibly productive week with both my day job and my blogs. I have a couple deals pending with my blog that will help me ramp up the monetization which of course is the end goal. Other than that here are some random thoughts and interesting links that I found this week.

Why Your Focus Should Be Lifestyle And People Over Possessions
I constantly re-analyze my priorities and my reasons for working hard in life. I repeatedly re-check my motivation. Why do i desire financial freedom? What am I really pursuing? Although, it’s easy to be pushed by the current of our culture, my focus is on building a desired lifestyle and on spending time with the people in my life. Let me explain why I think this is the proper perspective.

The Challenges Of Starting A Business In Your 20s
In my previous article entitled, “My Four-Pronged Strategy Towards Financial Prosperity,” I talked about both building my career and building a second stream of passive income. Starting a business could be crucial in both goals. Currently, my goal is to start a business that can morph into a second stream of income. Down the road, I would like to start a business that will by my main wealth driver and my full-time career.
Starting a business is an exciting and challenging thing for anyone. For a 20-something, it’s even harder. What’s interesting, in my opinion, is that the main challenge in starting a business is usually not related to finding a product to sell. Finding a product or service to sell is one of the easiest steps in the process. Let’s look at the real obstacles that can be tough to overcome for a 20-something entrepreneur.

Guess Apple’s Closing Price On June 6, Win An iPod Shuffle
Apple is one of my favorite stocks. I love the company’s long term potential, and I love trading the stock on its momentum. Therefore, to encourage my readers to follow this great stock even closer, I’ve decided to have a little contest for the 20s Money readers to participate in.
Here are the rules
- You are to guess what the closing share price of Apple will be on June 6, 2008.
- You have until May 30, 2008 to submit your guess. Email your guess to apple@20smoney.com. Any guesses received after midnight on May 30, 2008 will not be considered. Just email your guess, the winner will be contacted via email for an address to which the iPod Shuffle will be shipped.
- The winner will be determined by who is closest to the exact share price. You can be under or over the share price. For example, if the closing price is $195.50, if two entrants guess $195.45 and $195.55, they will be tied.
- I reserve the right to hold a “Sudden Death” for tied entrants if more than a handful of entrants are tied for the win.
Will Apple continue it’s run back towards the $200 mark? Or is it due for a correction? Let’s see who knows this stock’s behavior the best!
This is the first contest we’ve done here at 20s Money. This should be fun. Depending on the turnout and response, maybe we’ll do another one down the road for something bigger and better (iPhone, Apple TV, iMac)!
Good luck.

Sneak Peak At The New 20s Money Layout
Well, I feel the web site has gotten off the ground and it is time to work on the aesthetics of the site as well as continuing to provide sound content for my readers.
Check out the small preview of the design I have been working on. This design is not complete and will probably be tweaked before it is implemented.
Tell me what you think!
I would love to get some feedback on the overall design and on components you would like to see added to the site.
Thanks for your contribution.

I Just Ran 8 Miles and I’m Pumped About 20s Money
Continuing my training to run the New York Marathon on November 2 of this year, I just ran 8 miles. It felt good, and I feel even better about some of the feedback that I have been getting regarding the direction of this web site and the content we have been providing.

Microsoft Doesn’t Belong in Your Portfolio
Microsoft (MSFT) just came out with their quarter, and they didn’t impress many investors. I don’t like Microsoft for the short-term or the long-term. Here’s why.
